Summer sizzlers...

From Navy whites to Army green! Actor David James Elliott hung up his Navy whites, five years ago, as 'Harmon Rabb, Jr' in the CBS hit series JAG. This summer, DJE dons Army green as 'General Braxton' in the NBC mini-series The Storm airing July 26th.

While we wait for DJE's appearance on NBC, we finally get to see DJE in the ABC mini-series Impact, airing June 21st.

DJE on the big screen...

It hasn't been a secret that David James Elliott portrays 'Jack Dandrige' in the Candian produced movie "Gooby". According to producers in an article on Barrieadvance.com, http://www.barrieadvance.com/barrieadvance/article/122307 , "Gooby" has a theatrical release frame of next spring.

I for one will be waiting in line and fighting the typical crowd at my local cinema to see this movie.

Wow - hats off to the Paralympics!

I received an e-newsletter from The Challenged Athletes Foundation (CAF), a wonderful charity organization where the name says it all. I first heard of this organization indirectly through none other than David James Elliott, who participated a few years ago in a triathlon to help raise funds for this charity.

CAF happily reported that Rudy Garcia-Tolson took the gold for the second time in the 200 IM, but he also *beat* his previous time by a few seconds.

WOW!! What a major accomplishment!

My heartiest congratulations to Rudy and all the US Paralympic athletes!

In for a penny, in for a pound...

Of course the Americanized version is 'In for dime, in for a dollar' - either way, both quotes have the same meaning. Meaning, either you're going to do something all the way or not at all. I guess it would depend on what that 'something' is depends on how far people would go.

I'm not sure if I should be more flattered or irritated, but right now - irritated! Last week I battled it out with a website because someone violated the website's policy (among others). Yeah, problem solved... until today when I discovered that the user decided that they were going to turn around and do the same thing AGAIN! So, now it's right back to square one all over again and it makes me wonder what this particular website's policy *really* is about such things.

Hopefully they'll smarten up and slap the user with a fine, ban them from using the site or something more severe than simply removing my book listing.

Yup, call me crazy because it does expose my book, but I draw the line at someone who deliberately and blatantly ignores policy... for a *second* time! Not to mention the fact that I believe the user was supplied an e-mail address to contact me directly and actually *ask* permission... nah, that would be too easy. Of course at this point, they're not going to get my approval for a darn thing.

Moral of this post... be leery of some people. They don't believe in 'once bit, twice shy'. It would just be nice to know where my book is actually being listed (outside of my agreement with the publisher) before the aforementioned happens.

Goal accomplished!

Years ago, in an interview, David James Elliott once said, "Nothing worth while is ever easy." Of course he's not the only who has been known to say that quote, but he's the one that always comes to mind (Gee, I wonder if that's because I'm a big fan?!).

Years ago, my arm started to get twisted by a friend in Florida and another friend in New York put in the final twist by telling me that I should write a book. My first thought was 'yeah, okay... I don't think so', but three years ago when the final twist was put in... I did it! I set out to write a book.

At the beginning of the summer, my muses went into high gear to put the final touches on the book, editing etc... WOW! What a project and learning experience and I have to say that DJE was definitely right... nothing worth while is ever easy... writing my book was not easy, that's for sure.

Now that my book has been released for a while, I'm happy to announce it here on my blog. I want to publicly thank my online friends for the support and encouragement, I would never have done it if it wasn't for them. Plus a few others that are near and dear to my heart.

There are only three online stores, and their sites, authorized to list my book. All others are unauthorized. I take this very seriously and hope that anyone wishing to list my book will have the decency and consideration to ask my permission first.

You'll find the link listed in "My Favorite Links" to the right below a few of my pics, including the cover art for my book.

Football season has started!

When I started this blog, I said it would contain a coalesced area of topics... football is no exception! One would think that I would be a Seahawks fan based on where I live, but nope! My heart belongs to my home team... New England Patriots!

The Patriots had a hell of a last season - straight to the Super Bowl without a loss. Like all Patriot fans, I had hoped they would go all the way last season, but I wasn't holding my breath. I just hope they can repeat *plus* win the Super Bowl.

However, pre-season barely started and "my" Patriots are not off to a great start with 0-2-0 on the board. Thankfully it *is* only pre-season... the bar is set high for the Patriots this season due to their fabulous record last season. This Patriot fan is not holding her breath on the team having a repeat (plus win the Super Bowl).

JAG season 7 cover art change

There are times where I wish I was actually right. Previously I posted cover art for JAG's season 7 release on Nov 4th. I was really hoping they wouldn't change the cover art, but low and behold... they did.

They changed DJE's character "Harm" from wearing whites to blues... personally I like the orginal better. Oddly enough, I always prefered my ex in his dress blues vs dress whites. I guess I simply find gold flattering on enlisted dress blues.

Anyway - here's the new cover art released by CBS (tvshowsondvd.com)...

Here's the previously released cover again (right) - I just noticed they also moved "Mac" from "Harm's" right to his left. Looks like they decided to use an entirely different cast photo.
